These painting are local scenes in west central  New Mexico, where Magdalena is located. Blue Canyon Gallery represents a number of other artists but this is the work of Barbara Moore Versluis, gallery owner. Paintings are usually oil and those identified as pastels are chalk drawings. This oil painting is the only scene not located in New Mexico. It is my interpretation of a view at the Salt River Canyon in Arizona.
